Yesterday I realized my dream of getting accepted into dental school, which turned out to be one of the best days of my life! I was able to celebrate it with many of my close friends and family on and off of the blockchain, which made my day even more special!

However, yesterday wasn't all smiles because I found out that I had to somehow come up with $3,000 for a deposit in a month or my acceptance would be voided! I decided to turn to the Steemit community in my time of need and not to my surprise, you all came through!

My post yesterday was Upvoted all the way up to $47, and I couldn't be more appreciative! I can't thank you all enough for the support and I can't wait to pay it forward!

So What Actually Makes Steemit Special?

No matter if the market cap of Steem is 100k or 1 billion dollars, this platform will continue to the most valuable crypto currency because of the fact that there are so many genuine and good hearted people that strive to improve Steemit each and everyday!

To be more specific he real secret to what makes Steemit special are the different communities within the larger overall community. You can think about it as the different gears all doing their part to make the overall machine run.

Although the allure of making money attracts a certain type of blogger, most of those people tend to fall off once they realize the point of Steemit isn't to make money, but rather than connections!

I came to this realization a few weeks ago, when I returned from my two month hiatus to many members in the community welcoming me back with open arms! Within a few days I joined the Vloggers guild, where i've been able to improve my craft drastically in a very short amount of time!

The more time and effort you put into becoming a part of this community, the faster you will realize that this is the best place in the world to be and I truly believe that we are all pioneers in a process that will change the world!
