We All STEEM For Ice Cream
My theory is - people get excited about STEEM and Steemit when they see what it can do. A couple of nights ago, I treated family and friends to an "ice cream night" entirely paid for using STEEM! (10 ice cream cones in total.) In doing so, I explained the process of blogging for rewards and then using those rewards to purchase in-real-life things. While the economy of Steemit may still be new to folks, the act of using rewards to purchase real stuff is an exciting thing to watch.
I encourage you all to try the same thing. Folding people into this community will help it grow. A few ice cream cones can go a long way...

I have so many questions. If you don't mind, I guess my biggest question is do I want to be voting on a bunch of things? Each time I vote, is that degrading my voting power? Do I need to be more selective? Also, should I be following a bunch of people or just following the right people?

Each time you vote, your vote power does diminish (it replenishes continuously over a 7 day cycle) but... as a new user... you shouldn't worry about power loss just yet! Enjoy voting around and discovering new people. Remember that voting is free (it doesn't cost you any STEEM) and as a voter/curator you actually receive a small % of the post payout. You can make STEEM two ways here, posting content but also by upvoting content.
On followers - Follow people who generate good content / who you'd like to keep tabs on! Discover, explore and enjoy it!

In my case the ice cream is more than my ordinary job pays, living in a poor country where 6Sbd is your daily wage.
We are makong dreams come true and building better futures for people that have had a bad life.. Cheers to all steemians and much love to all.

Sometimes people just want to see things happen and not long complicated explanations. Let them come for the rewards and then stay for the community, and then they can learn all the nitty gritty stuff :)

I love the way you added crypto currency in your daily life.
I will do same one day with my friends that are in crypto world and then I will do it with family as none of my family member knows what steem or crypto is all about.
