This just happened to my boyfriend, except he was sending almost $2000. Same thing. No confirmation, no communication whatsoever. He still hasn't received his funds in @poloniex's site. The temporary ban is because you've made too many requests from the same IP. It's a precaution to deter DDOS attacks.
