RE: Why I am powering down 5,000 Steem.

in #steemit7 years ago

Dude, I've made or contemplated making so many posts about this. Unfortunately no one reads or even opens articles that aren't boosted to the tippity top by paid bots.

Steem seems to be in a stage of stagnation. The site and concept was a huge idea and completely blew up both in coin price and userbase.

Now that we've reached a new plateau it's time to make a lot of changes and fully open steem up to the masses.

This might include stuff like; connection issues (all the time), posts not going live, the fact that your account password has to be safely stored/somehow remembered or you'll lose ALL your money/account (that is ABSURD, no way at ALL for mass adoption with something like this), how about the fact that bots control the market and 85% of the userbase is here to either abuse the bot system to make a quick buck or create their own bot to make an even quicker buck. The site was supposed to be a social media revolution and a paradigm shift in how we see value; it's turned into a cesspool of lag and a ponzi scheme-esque system where "proof of brain" really means proof of bot.
