Very interesting post! I appreciate the shout out =) I am pretty dismayed at the dismal retention rate, but I hope that succeeding waves of new users aren't so easily discouraged as SMTs and communities improve things.

I had thought I'd be amongst the more prolific commenters, but am glad to see I am not! It's good that my stats are exceeded by those that contribute more. It makes Steemit all the more valuable and gives me some motivation =)
