I think the reward pool descreases as a result of the decreased value of Steem, correct? I have noticed several well known characters on Steemit Powering down and selling pretty large amounts on the market, which may be contributing to the overall situation. It's kind of annoying that they continue to get massive votes on Steemit - it means that people are voting for their own earnings to decrease. Strange world!
