Hey James, it'd be great if you would consider my own social network called ureka.org (Earth Heart Community) - which focuses on healing, balancing and evolving. I haven't been able to build it as much as intended in the last year+ because I have been helping build Steemit/Steem - but it is likely I will soon be integrating a Steem based Smart Media Token so that posts can receive payout on Ureka too.. Plus other fun features will be added too.
Ureka is intended to combine social features with a functional learning platform and information repository. Any feedback is welcome. <3

Greetings! The learning platform is not specifically limited in any way - you can use if for whatever (lawful) purpose you want that is within the terms & conditions.. However, the intention of the site is to facilitate healing, balancing and evolving - yes.
The essential aim for the platform is available in the 'about' section on the site, however, I am planning to extend it to include a post reward system, probably an SMT - plus other great features too. The system will be a hybrid so that post can either generate rewards and be publicly distributed on the Steem blockchain or can only be stored in the Ureka database and so will not receive payouts, but can be published with privacy restrictions applied (which is not possible when publishing to Steem).
