RE: Let's Talk—Why Is Facebook Treating Steemit URLs as Spam? (UPDATE: It's Deleting My Post In 30 Days Now!)

in #steemit7 years ago (edited)

@firepower, I don't think it is difficult to comprehend. This steem movement is perhaps one of the serious threats received by Facebook in recent times. If you look at the future say in an year's time, I see a potential of lakhs of Facebookians migrate to Steemit. The reason is not difficult to guess.
People spend time on Facebook and Steemit. Time is limited & premium for all (24 hrs a day) and time is money.
On Steemit your time gets converted to money. On Facebook it gets converted to likes which don't bring any money. 'Likes' are very cheap in Facebook. Value is NIL except some momentary gratification to the author.
You can't pay bills with ' 'likes' but you can with $$$.
To cut the story short, Facebook may censor all the crypto pages in future. Steemit in particular. It does not bode well to the old age giants to have a new age new concept social platform that pays to post .

Yeah for sure! Time is money and all that and I don't want to give it away to Facebook!
