Yes this was confusing me. Thanks for addressing this. I was thinking that needs to be updated hourly or just removed from our wallet's page.
Agreed, I spent thinking they were $1 since that is what was documented.
From what I understand @tomorrowviral , the SBD's that you accumulate, are not included in the value of your account. The value of your account as far as I understand, is based solely on your 'steem' holdings. The account value doesn't track steem by the minute or hour, it seems to adjust over several hours or a day, so it lags, this could be to iron out the wrinkles in the daily trading, I'm not sure. What you can be sure of, is the steem and SBD values on the market, as this is where exchanges are occurring, this is a real time measure of real value of both steem and SBD. Here's a link to one such ticker: http://steemdollar.com/ . The values here are reflective of actual trading figures from a number of exchanges/traders, so its quite reliable - of course it wont include exchange fee's as these are dependant on the nature of your transaction, and with whom you are trading :)

Steem backed dollars SBD Are way overvalued. Im selling as much as i can because theyre supposed to be 1 SBD = 1 USD. And probably, well go down there once BTC price starts picking up again. Best regards Dr DMD
