Don't assume bad intentions over neglect and misunderstanding.
To me this sounds a bit like some miscommunication and misunderstandings that has since escalated. When it comes to miscommunication, both parties ought to look back, try to figure when and how it got out of hand and probably both parties are to blame (of course not always - I do remember I was eager and wanting to do something and my boss clearly wrote the line "don't do it, wait" in the chat - but I read exactly what I wanted to read - "do it, don't wait". Well, a digression ...)
Conflicts in the cryptocurrency space is nothing new, the division regarding the blocksize issue in Bitcoin has been holding the BTC quite much back I believe, and the ETH/ETC split is not a good thing. The current conflict does not need to harm the Steem blockchain as such, the involved parties just need to ignore each other, and that's it ... oh, and please stop flagging posts (or upvoting) merely on the basis of authorship.
