Hi @Steevc, Steemit has the potential to be great for emerging artists. The ability to create your own profile as an artist, then offer downloads all in one place (linked to the blockchain) would make it much more rewarding. Linking actual music to their blogs would give another source of revenue (SP they earn as a band on sales would allow them more influence when they write).

I think this could be massive for bands who struggle to make anything from their music. We know they are being ripped off by some other services. They just need to bring their fans over too. I'm excited to see how this develops. I know many people are working on the tools we need to sell and promote content here.
Not only bring fans over but linking the whole eco system (ticket sales without giving anything away to the middle man). There is a huge untapped potential.
