Perhaps it is the level of high expectations that come with the hype.
If you can just toggle that little "I simply do not care" switch to the on position, writing gets a lot easier.
I truly give not one whit about how the general public feels about my prose.
It is for that handful of people who do care that I exert myself,
but fortunately that demographic requires nothing spectacular, only truth.
