I always say a title is 90% of a post, so I will get right down to business, this needs no pretty words.

ALL of those names have now a very special place in smartsteem's code which will prevent future abuse and NONE of them will receive an upvote from smartsteem or any of our vote-sellers again.
We've made it clear that abusers will be treated with our NO-REFUND POLICY
Even though I really don't have time right now, I will also personally remove all of the upvotes from those abusers.
Additionally, decisions will be made to make sure that abusers will NOT profit ever again from smartsteem.com
Regardless - good job @themarkymark!
Thank you. No-refund policy is a good tool against boldness in abusing.
good job @therealwolf
I love to see other bot owners take it seriously as well.
I was already a fan and user of Smartsteem, now I'm an even bigger fan.
Thanks for the excellent work @therealwolf! And thank's for bringing this up @themarkymark!
Absolutely magnificent
As someone who creates original work to share with everyone here, thank you for this.
wow. is it really possible?
i wanna try it.
Dang why even bother with posting on steemit if there are still users like this? Though battle for the good guys but thanks for fighting back @themarkymark.
Because I have a small glimmer of hope it will be worth it in the end.
Hey I had commented on a post I didn’t realize was a scammer. I unfollowed and thank you for pointing it out!
Keep up the good fight👍
Hey @themarkymark, I wanted to propose you something. You know that @buildawhale has a 10 minute minimum age for a post to be biddable. I don't know if it already does this, but if it doesn't, what if @buildawhale accepted posts that are GOING to be 10 minutes old by the time that @buildawhale gets to vote time?
It does do that but I usually keep it at 20 mins. I moved it to 10 but will likely change it back to 20 mins as many people are trying to take advantage of the vote window to avoid curation rewards.
Almost everything I make goes to my delegator, so curation rewards is pretty much all I get.
Oh, I didn't know that u.u
It's selfish but I haven't been recouping my SBD investment with many bots, so I'm kind of in the lookout for reliable bid bots for this purpose. I know it isn't easy for the bot owners either, though. It's hard to keep the money rolling when everything is an expense.
Thank you for your efforts, though :) Even though I may not use it, your bot is one of the best out there, so props for that!
Most people are profitable with my bot as we get less bids as spammers are scared to use our service. You need to factor in Steem Power when looking at ROI.
Bots are promotional tools not cash registers. No industry in the world takes money to promote your product and then does that and gives your money back and then pays you on top of that out of their pocket.
LOL! I know :3 I do take SP into consideration, and it's the reason why I'm not shy when picking bots. My only concern is that I don't really have any SBD income, so if I throw money at post-curation posts for a 2.1 multiplier, I will get my investment back in SP, but if I want to keep promoting, I'll have to power down and use that as funds to keep the ball rolling.
That seems a bit counter productive, which is the reason why I look for bots that return the SBD I put in. Things like @minnowbooster or even @smartmarket (which does lose me some SBD but it's not like @postpromoter or other bots that give me a 1.x multiplier).
I know I'm asking for too much, but since there's a market for it, I shamelessly take it.
"Why even bother living when there are thieves and rapists running wild in every city and major town?"
Or you could just try to improve the community and take measures like the ones themarkymark and therealwolf are taking by fighting abusers. I also help a little by reporting abusers to Steemcleaners, although my vote is worth like 0.01 and I have no other way to influence.
Steem is the dream I didn't know I had. I wouldn't let it die just because a few bandits lurk in some dusty corners.
I know you mean well but that quote is brutal. I do not think all bad will ever go away. I was emphasizing that this happens more often than people realize. Especially the large whales that are raking in thousands of steems a day. I tip off my hat to you for calling out the bandits. I for one hope there are more good than bad so that steemit can thrive. Most of my crypto is in steem, so I am a believer good will prevail. I am hoping one day that I have enough steem to actually do something about these like themarkymark. Thanks.
Oh, to be young (on Steemit) again. Flush with hope.
Because it's the only social media platform where a person can invest zero, and grow an account into thousands, with an opportunity/option to invest in other alt coins. If you know something offering better...let me know.
Peace.
Why not bot-owner association share the blacklist so that time spending research is saved? Moreover, association (e.g. collective bot owners) should take responsibility to flag these abusers. If some fund from the profit is used to fight spam, plagiarism and other kinds of abuse, bot owners will also earn some respect too.
I do share it, but most bots don't blacklist as spammers are very profitable and it is risky to blacklist them. I can vouch for that as I see my bot gets fewer bids per SP than other bots due to aggressive abuse prevention. I also personally validate every single user blacklisted.
Upvoting this post 100% not because I like the content. Quite the opposite. I wish @themarkymark would post about cute kittens (as long as they are high quality, original cute kittens).
Aaaaaaaaaaa, such cutesy beasts.
This help?
awww so cute <3
It looks like Photoshop o.o but super cute.
Three Mus-cat-eers to fight abuse? ;-)
I wish, they are just to restore faith in the world.
Selfie?
=^..^=
How 'bout this one?
@themarkymark I would suggest you also check the current Steemit Top 5 trending and what @chbartist is doing.
I had to re-read this as I thought I was on a completely different article to what I clicked on :-)
Ha
Keep up the great work highlighting this and I wish you luck!!
PS - Love SmartSteem and what it is trying to do on the platform.
Wow you certainly fooled me with the title! Maybe I'll try this in my posts! I'm glad you exposed these people. You bring the truth to Steemit!
Thanks. Now only a million other scammers/ spammers to get rid of. This has to be like the most tedious game of whack a mole ever for you guys.
That pretty much sums it up LOL.
It honestly feels pointless though, most bots don't blacklist, it costs me huge amounts of time, it means I make less than any other bot for equal SP now, I get flagged like mad in response, I get lots of hate/abuse posts/comments when spammers get blacklisted, I'm not even on the map as a witness to support the efforts, and it's not even making a dent in the garbage being posted daily.
I also have to let so much shit slide because I know it is plagiarized but don't have concrete proof, or it's no worse than 80% of the other content here.
well i will go upvote you as a witness. not that that will help much, but a vote is a vote. Thanks for fighting the good fight around here. It does not go unnoticed.
Thanks
You just bummed me out, broseph.
(By reiterating exactly my own exasperated thoughts.)
I have made you as a witness, hopefully you are selected and can give the best for this community.
Thanks mate!
Exactly the reason I voted for him. Working hard to clean the steem. Top work again fella.
Correct me if I'm wrong.
Upvote bots are primarily for exposure, to gain followers and reputation fast. If people are using these bots to make profits, this is unlikely not the case. I don't know how to prove this in a detailed illustration/computation, but this is what I see/think.
By the way, you're doing a great job @themarkymark!
It is primarily for exposure and followers, rep is a by-product that I don't agree with but I can't avoid. Any profit made is a blessing.
Reputation is based on upvotes, no other factors involve, is there any?
Rep Up/Down is based on the Rep of the Voter vs the Rep of the Author and the SP behind the voter. A 70 Rep whale with 500K SP can do a ton of rep damage, compared to a 79 Rep minnow.
Yeah catch ya!
Say, a new comer and blogger finds steemit and blogs a quality and valuable content and buys upvotes to bots worth $1000. Can you make a guess what would be his/her reputation score or maybe you can make computation?
Not too sure if you could guess that.
🤔
Just estimate. 60 rep?
pray for nepal
I'm going to be real honest. It's BS like this post right here that are going to KILL Steemit as a legitimate platform. I don't know or care about whatever nonsense @themarkymark is going on about.
Clickbait titles used for petty squabbles are pointless and completely defeat the very concept of a SMT. From seeing the comments (and tags), it is clear that about some sort of bot circle-jerk that people have taken offense to. The way you make real money is begging to the crowd and telling them how right they are for choosing the platform. It is the same on every platform, I intend to make a video about this, I will see you all in the next video
CasualMatt, out
Oh boo hoo, I don't have that much power. I don't believe in a system where you can straight up buy power. I'm a fairly new account. I'm working on growing my audience organically creating content that I enjoy creating.
Then, you ought to re-read the initial post until you understand what is going on here. It concerns you.
Your goal, being impractical, tells me you don't know what is actually happening in these parts.
Start with the Steem bot tracker.
Hi @themarkymark and @therealwolf I have a massive similar problem where these people have created a bot to follow me repeatedly every single time I make a post. They are simply YouTube videos and nothing else. Everyone in this screen shot are the culprits on my notifications. They may be linked to a bigger syndicate. Cheers, Adam
$ 175,000 + a year posting YouTube videos ??
How to..
I am newcomer please help ..
hehehhe
Do you walk into AA meetings and ask "Alcohol, get drunk? How can? Please tell."
love it.
Very very good..
You have my vote and future support, because the passion you have for the platform is worthy of your work. I am totally new to this whole thing, as a matter of fact this is only my second post/reply to anything on steemit. As a newbie, it has been very hard to understand what the hell is going on here and I find it frustrating to figure out. What I gather is this: you can pay to play or just play and see what happens....but here I am trying to do what i think is right and that is to not pay ...but just play and enjoy the platform. The job you're doing is great for the platform and it will make it better for sure, just keep the faith and don't fret, there are people listening to you and I am one of them. thanks again for work......upvote/witnessvote/follow.
Good job @themarkymark keep it up. Kudos..
Theres no reason why I should use other upvote bots now.
@buildawhale well done!
$175,000+ a year ? I will take it .
good times ya slept on top of the dollar nya.emng why should sleep on money.kanapa not in the aja save money in the shelves.
wow great information
Wow!It's a really amazing way for a professional youtuber.
Hi steemians. I'm new here, glad to be little part of this great community :)
Now I'm totally lost, @themarkymark. What does your content have to do with your title of "How to make $175,000+ a year posting YouTube videos"? Can you please explain what you have posted above is talking about and what it has to do with your title?
The title is clickbait, to draw attention to the fact there is a user with 60 accounts linking YouTube videos and has made $78,000 on Steem doing so. I presented all the data after spending ~6 hours researching the history.
You might want to add that important piece of info to your article. Otherwise, in all honesty, someone may flag you for spam, especially given the fact that so many people on steemit do not have English as their mother tongue.
please help me to reach professional youtuber !!!
Help me please voting my akun
I'm really terrible with movies. Can you write a similar post how I can earn such an amount with Steemit?
😋
Did you really spend so many hours to find 1 scammer that did not really earn a thing on Steemit?
Or do I understand your post incorrect?
You understand it incorrectly.
great info
thank you for your advice. good job
Very interesting post Mr. @themarkymark, I really like it I hope you succeed always
Ok you got me 😂, and just got my vote my vote in the process :-)
Love your work and how you have created this post. Love working with the elite. SURPRISE
It all starts with the first blog post.
I know… I’ve been through that stage. You’ve got mixed feelings:
A bit of euphoria:
You picture yourself as a successful blogger, and you believe that blogging is everything you need. But as soon as you start writing your first blog post, your feelings change. You develop:
Confusion. Fear:
You feel stuck, and probably a bit depressed.
I decided to write this blog post specifically for you.
To help you find your way and do only the things you need to do in order to achieve success.
wtf?
Took the words right outta my mouth.
You may have a mental illness.
thanks, this is good information
Excellent post.please upvote me, please.
This post has received a 26.22 % upvote from @booster thanks to: @themarkymark.
I like what you are doing to clean up the community. Approved you as an witness. Its sad that most of the banned users are from south asian countries as least their username suggested that. I am also from south asia.
I think these people are seeing Steemit as a quick money generating platform rather than contributing to it and creating a community. I often see on Facebook some people are marketing it as such.
I know its time consuming but please keep up the good work.
Thanks mate,
@themarkymark. You're baking son. Haters gon hate, but playaz gon win. I;m fired up by your effortless flow..
nice share
keren ilmu yang dibagikan
Wow! If you're earning that much in Youtube, then how hard it will be to earn that much in "less than a year" in DTube?
I think you missed the message. The user is spamming random youtube videos and making money off it across 60 accounts.
Tremendo trabajo! Hacen falta muchos como tu aqui en steemit 😀
Yeah I know what he's talking about. It's just that results and number for me is still more interesting than the "how" part. If he can get that result, then it's possible that all of us can too. Without spamming sh*** post of course.
" If he can get that result, then it's possible that all of us can too. Without spamming sh** post of course."*
Do you have even a shred of evidence for this at all? On what could you possible be basing this on?
Your conclusion does not follow from the evidence provided.
This seems very helpful to me .
Actually, am very new to all these steemit and cryptocurrency stuffs .
But i have heard more good news about the platform and i think steemit is going to be very helpful to me as well.
Anyway, am your new follower. I am a music teacher and a musician as well.
Wish you do well to visit my blog soon because music are is the main inspirational canal😇.
Lets ketchup soon
I mine at home, any help with info? I would like to explore mining for a witness if I can make similar income as my mining?
You'll make a great witness. You should spend lots and lots of time researching it, setting up a node, then campaigning. I'm sure it will go well.
That's one thing I'm a little short on is time, maybe in time
wow cool boss .. follow ya hehe
What an idea. I will use this. Thank you for this post.
Oh, really? How will you use this abuse idea?
Ha,ha,ha 😜
This post gave me the idea that people could live in a dreamland just by being a member of Steemit Community. Thanks mate.
I don't get it. Why some of the posts have 3 times the same video? A method to avoid spam filters?...
( example )
I think it is because their script sucks lol.
That's four by the way ;p
Yeah sorry, nobody taught me what comes after 3.
I was expecting some magical-wizard-techy tricks to avoid spam filters. I am kind of disappointed. :|
