In the management of solid waste, no one can dispose of garbage. When disposing or disposing of waste, the complexity of the system and the nature of the integrated materials and pollution are quickly seen. For example, if we take waste combustion, it is expensive and imposes the challenge of air pollution and ash disposal. Incineration in one way or another requires that waste placed outside for collection must be packaged to remain dry and many waste streams are not flammable.

In addition, garbage collection vehicles are a large source of emissions. Waste that cannot be collected can be a breeding ground and food that has the potential to carry disease vectors such as insects and rodents. Waste management cannot be managed effectively without considering problems such as city emissions, labor market, land use planning and many related problems.

Despite progress in solid waste management practices in this decade since a few years ago, there were several issues related to the environment used to exist.
In the last ten to twenty years, there has been an additional challenge for waste managers: the growing global vagaries of the secondary market. Many city recycling programs in Europe and North America begin with recycling markets that are relatively close to sources. Recently, secondary material marketing has emerged as a global business. Prices paid per ton of used paper in New York City are often based on how much the purchase price is in China.

Most of the waste recycled in Buenos Aires, for example, is sent to China. Volatility of secondary material prices has increased, making planning more difficult. Prices often predict economic trends, falling significantly during the economic downturn (when a city is least able to reduce prices). There are several hedging opportunities for material prices, but secondary material marketing does not have the same level of sophistication as other commodities (mainly due to reliability issues, quality, externalities, and many interested parties).

Pesticides and Agricultural Practices

Hazardous chemicals used in agriculture are collected on the ground and eventually create contaminated soil and runoff that finds its way to rivers and streams to other lands and finally the oceans.

  • Fertilizers pollute the soil with heavy metals and kill beneficial microflora which in turn affects fertility and soil structure, according to FAO. When they are carried away by rainwater runoff, they cause eutrophication in the body of water. One third of the world's land is degraded due to agricultural chemicals. Fertilizer applications have quadrupled since the 1960s according to Our World in Data.
  • Pesticides can also kill microflora and fungi that are needed for the mineral cycle in the soil and affect fertility. They also seep into the ground and pollute groundwater. Pesticide production which began in the late 1940s is now a total of 3 million tons per year according to Our World in Data.
Given the problems or challenges mentioned above, Organicco has taken it upon itself to deal with every problem sharply, which is to convert unwanted organic matter into organic fertilizer.
Organicco also placed a check to resolve payment problems in the export market. This has been a challenge in terms of shipping goods for several years now.
