This is a worthy idea but I don't think this is workable right now and am not sure what the advantage would be of putting it on a blockchain.
For one thing there would need to be a mechanism for making sure that information was correct and accurate.
Steemit has a cross section of information, most of it has no relevance to the education of children. Further there is a lot of information that claims to be true but is complete BS and has no educational value despite claiming the contrary.
You would need someone who had expertise in the appropriate subjects and had teaching experience to either curate the right content or write specific content for that purpose.
I doubt that there would be enough earnings from such posts to pay for that.
I think this kind of project would be more appropriate for a Wikipedia side project - I don't see why it needs to be on a blockchain at all.
A better use of Steemit for education may be for students to share their artwork or writing as a fun project which might also earn them some pocket money and teach them about finance.
Beyond that is expecting too much in my opinion.
I may well be wrong though.
Thank you for your detailed response and the guidance. I was thinking, like the other platforms that such an effort, due to it's reach with potential viewers, could generate Ad revenues that may fund it. The only reason I thought it could be related to blockchain was that it would have all transactions stored in a transparent way.
I am still learning and obviously have a long way to go before I understand all the nuances of course but thought I should not lose the opportunity to present and idea. If I present and get shot down 99 times, I may come up with that one idea that helps Steemit and also the underprivileged or wildlife :)
Thanks once again. Your support, critique and guidance is very valuable.
No problem it is a good idea I just don't think it is currently viable.
