Google is arguably one of the world's most innovative and remarkable companies. It consistently ranks as one of the best places to work.

However, they have a very left leaning, liberal worldview. So, I find it incredibly interesting that the business practices that have propelled their incredible growth and domination are very competitive, conservative, and capitalistic.I also find it incredibly interesting that now they find themselves in boiling water with the liberal governments of Europe for using these capitalistic practices to trounce their competition without corruption or unethical behaviors and now dominate the markets in an area of the world where everyone wins - or is supposed to (which is supposedly the core worldview of this company and its founders).

So I guess my question is that it's fine to have a liberal worldview, but do you only apply it to life when convenient? Because that is precisely what seems to have gotten them in trouble here.
