Two factors that are very important.
This is not facebook....this should be looked at more akin to a business. Quality content cannot be stressed enough. There are too many who believe they will rake in money for posting nothing stuff. While this could work if you have a loyal, dedicated following, it is not going to work for many.
The first point, networking, points to the fact this is a social media site...something most fail to see. It is sad that this fact is missed by so many. I guess the idea of money changes it greatly for people.
Nevertheless, it is important for people to know you exist. Too many newcomers are baffled that people didnt upvote their wonderful post to the front page. Then they turn and call people on here selfish. It isnt selfishness..it is the fact that nobody knew the person even existed.
I couldn't agree more! It's all about quality content and networking. And yes, people seem to treat it differently because of the money. You need to keep working, and if no one sees your post you need to network! Thanks for the great comment :)
