Daily Faucet is very real. The Pending Payments is just list of people I need to payout to. When I pay them out they are removed and added again the following day if they UpVote that days Faucet.
The amount grows each day when people UpVote the Faucet post. Once a week on Sunday I give out a special SBD reward for the Comments, Resteems and UpVotes done in the previous 7 days on all my posts. So the more you do those on my posts the higher your rewards are.
