Flagging is not lucrative enough for whales :-)
We should change the tag trending page to trash page that would be more precise.
I'm out / off skiing - life goes on :-)

It's about more than personal profit. There's only so much you can spend. This is about making Steemit a better place for all. I'll support some of the flagging efforts even if it means losing some rewards for myself. Let's see what sort of platform the whales really want.
Policing a problem has not proven to be successful.. anywhere.
Change and solution can only come when systems change.
We are not in charge of the systems. Those who are do not seem to be interested in helping with this problem. Thus, we find ourselves where we are right now.
Then you have your answer. The initiative is pointless. It will only divide the community. Waste of SP and waste of time. You really only have one option here on steemit...
Can't beat them, Might as well join them.
The fundamental flaw of the system will need to be addressed soon enough.
It's like a cancer. You don't correct skin cancer by applying more sunscreen. You don't ignore skin cancer either. Time is no longer on your side.
That is wholly your opinion. One that I do not agree with in the slightest. Not at all a fact, as it appears you don't understand enough about how this place works to have this conversation. You may think it's a waste of time and energy, but it's not your time and energy if you don't want to help.
This is not cancer, so stop comparing a situation on a social media network to it. That's ridiculous.
My mother died of cancer 5 months ago, so I can get into detail about what cancer does to the human body if you really want, but I'd rather not, because it's 100% irrelevant. That is an absolutely horrible comparison.I'd rather talk about Steemit and how to clean it up. If you don't want to have that conversation, then get out of the way, because I know my mind is made up. It looks like other minds are as well.
Calm down there sweet pea. I don't select words with a limitations such as "will they offend someone".
YOU CHOSE TO TAKE OFFENSE.
Condolences for you loss but you are are not my problem.
I will continue to use the words I see fit.
No you're just being a condescending asshole. I'll see fit to mute you just for being an asshole. Bye.
Not sure if you've been paying attention, but that's already a reality. You can't polarize what's already polarized.
I know.
But the new wave of bambi's don't look to the past. They only look forward onto the oncoming headlights thinking that they can outsmart the inevitable.
Policing obviously does work as most of us can live normal lives. Steemit offers freedom and so it's up to the community to police it when people abuse it
I disagree. It's a short term solution. Education and collective agreement is the only way. That must involve the ones who control the system though. So not going to happen.
They have no intention to do such a thing. As it's a fundamental to their profits model. You're pushing shit up hill as a user if you don't agree with it. You can only try to exist along side those that utilize the system correctly (voting bots IS the system).
I honestly don't think Steemit Inc have a long term plan for steemit. Proof is in the detachment which occurred last year. Succeed or fail, they go on with other projects such as SMTs.
The only solution from a community perspective is a hard fork which will give rise to a new steemit where bots are no more. Human voting is paramount and organic growth and sustainability is once again probable.
If you disagree with this, then you don't want to accept truth.
We each have an opinion. It's going to be interesting to see if Steemit can grow to millions. Then the economics may change
OK. Don't go putting bets on that though.
@steevc you should check out this video..
It's long but worth the view if you do have desire for a better system.
It's a project in early development. Called embermine.
One you research it, you will come to realize it aims to be what steemit could have been.
As I said though, it's in early development, It has an long term plan. Worth keeping an eye on. The system implemented is essentially rewards well thought out. So it does have potential.
