RE: Deceptively Optimistic Self-Shilling Posts Hurt Steemit

in #steemit7 years ago

Yeah, it sucks, but there aren't many of these posts and if some bimbo makes one of those posts once in a while they won't get upvoted for the post, but because they always get upvoted regardless of posting content. ( I don't know if new members have been upvoted for that recently.)

Sort:

wait for another bull market and you will see them flooding every single corner of Steemit.

I think the whales know better.
A quick "money for free" post will attract more people than "you won't get nothing unless you befriend a whale and work hard".
I'm sure more people from the first bunch will stay on the platform than the other. Viral/fake messages/advertising works. Just like McDonalds.

I agree with yours view point.

It might work short term but I don't think is sustainable

I see it this way: in real world we have McDonalds and fancy 5 star restaurants, cheap motels and Hiltons. People visiting all of them and everybody make money on the end and they're all happy. We just need communities and better search filters. Platform is evolving and good and bad stuff is normal. Like in life. If you want to live like a teenager whole life it's not sustainable. Something will give up. Liver first, for sure. Your post help platform to grow, like every new post here. People will turn back to shit posts eventually. It's process and takes time.

What I am more afraid of is competitors picking up from where we left.

I'm not so worried about that. They gonna face the same issues and many other. We already gone through some deep shit here and survive it. Most of innovations dye of in first year. We passed that hurdle.

What happened with your voting man? you were like my no.1 supporter since early on.

Do we actually do that ? Upvote Steemians we believe are pretty/sexy ?

I've never seen it, but then I tend not to wander too much. I follow those whose ideas I find interesting, and also go on dives into #science or tags I get momentarily interested in due to a post.
