I think there is a conflict with promoting steemit as social media platform but then limiting post.

I was aware of when they changed it and blogged about it and agree it has helped to reduce spam, but it is misleading because people have expectations based on other social media use.

    I completely agree. How can steemit be the world's new social media hub with such a strict limitation on posting? I thought steemit was ultra-scalable and was ready for mass adoption.
