it is true that there are bots and plenty of spammers, but the quality of users had increased since I signed on. It is easy now to spot the fakes and beggers, while rewarding genuine connection, experience sharing, and growth.

Welcome to SteemIt! Yes, SteemIt is the biggest experiment of a Social Media on a blockchain that I know of, so far. Yes, it has some problems. I've had the same complaints about Dtube - it's a pain. That can be addressed and upgraded by its' developer. As far as bots, bots, bots - I say it sure beats all of the advertising that bombards us everywhere else on the web. Bots, self-upvoting, and other issues CAN be addressed in the next SteemIt hardfork, if the Witnesses can agree on how best to address those issues. So, there is still hope for SteemIt. We all still have to figure out that our power to "elect" block producers can and will have a huge impact on the future of the SteemIt platform. I don't know of another social media app that lets the people decide how it deals with problems.

The problem I have with this platform is that it seems to favour "trading" instead of "creating". BOTS boosting posts is not going to help your creativity, but sure it will get you in front of people. I guess it has it's benefits.

I've been a part of Steem since December and it's such a cool place.
People are way nicer here and more engaging. When I learned about the concept of Steemit I knew it was for me.
Of course there are bugs to be worked out, but that's cool. A delete button would be fantastic.

But it got better in my last two videos. I used to have to upload it twice due to some errors.

You are right. This platform is still in its infancy. It will take some time before people migrates here. It takes a little learning to understand how crypto works and people either doesn't want to learn new stuff or change the status quo.

Hey welcome. I do have some concerns about this whole platform as well. Some of the comments here already touched on it but it feels less like creating and sharing content that people will enjoy and more just buying your way up to the top.
