This was a great post I learned a lot from it. I’m impressed by how you’re able to focus on one topic for an extended length of time, it’s something I’m terrible at. I often wonder if there’s something wrong with my brain because about every 5 months, I crash and burn and want to start something new. I think I have starter energy but I see how a community is the best thing to build as its self-sustainable

Funny you say that about focus because I can remember before starting Open Mic when I was brainstorming ideas on the kind of community-centric initiatives I could start, I specifically remember thinking it had to be something I would never lose interest in or get bored with. For me, that's listening to musicians play music.
I still get these urges to start something new but as the Open Mic community keeps growing it takes time to help it thrive. Even after two years I feel like it's just getting started as is the whole platform.
Thanks for taking the time to read my post and adding a comment. I've really enjoyed reading many of your posts.
