I was expecting to see apps soon. This is the joy of an open platform. I guess there are some issues with trust as it's possible to create malicious apps that could steal your steem, and hide that from you. I guess it could be traced, but we know criminals will take any available opportunity. We need to be careful with anything that uses our secret keys.
