I'll talk to people about it and post about it elsewhere. I just have to avoid spamming them. I don't have a massive following anywhere, so my influence is fairly limited. I have brought in a few people so far. It may just take a few big names to make Steemit go viral. One issue is that people have got comfortable with FB etc being all they need. It's amazing how quickly that has happened.

Then I see something like Mastodon grow from nothing to half a million in a couple of weeks. There is a hunger for alternatives.

It can be hard. We can show that it really pays and that you can take the money out. You would think that creative people would jump on board. There's also the fact that there are no ads to distract people and it's censorship resistant. It deserves to succeed.
