FOCUS ON STRENGTH.
The first quality we will look at is the ability to focus on strength. Effectively leaders always focus on the strengths in themselves, what they are good at and on the strength in others on what they are good at.
It's an established fact that people perceived to be strong have far more weaknesses in them than they have strengths. greatness in leadership is not achieved by simply compensating for your weaknesses rather by identifying your areas of great potential strength, what you’d like to do that you do well and then by focusing all your energy on becoming outstanding in those areas. You only have to be really good in two or three areas for you to move to the top of your field and become a great leader.
ROLE MODEL
Another important quality of an effective leader is to be a role model, be the kind of person that everyone looks up to, wants to emulate. This should be visible in your work, personal life and every other aspects of your life.
Effective leaders acts highly of themselves at all times even when no one is watching as though everyone is watching them. Leaders assume the are the centre of attraction and everyone is watching them in that leadership position, they are quite aware of the impact of their words, their gestures on the people around them.
They understand that what they say has tremendous impact. You must always be sensitive to the fact that everything you say or do is magnified very often by the people who look up to you for guidance. A positive remark from you to someone whom you have some form of influence and control has great positive effects, and so does negative comments have negative effects, the impact of both are multiplied so choose carefully your words and your behavior.
INTEGRITY
The last and perhaps the most important and leadership quality is integrity. It’s the most required and admired quality of all people especially of effective leaders. Trust is the quality that unites all relationships, the willingness and ability to trust people you look up to is completely essential towards your ability to perform at your very best. In most cases its a waste of your time and your life staying in a relationship with an untrustworthy person because that relationship at the very least has no future.
Only by continuously improving on your skills will you gain the respect and admiration that you deserve.
