The easiest way to backup password is to just copy and paste it at http://Dropbox.com it will stay there forever. You can even also backup your password as PDF. But thank you for sharing your method it still useful
I would NEVER keep passwords in DropBox. They have been hacked more than once. And they get pressured to give up details of customers as well. Since it's a US company, it's only reliable for storage of information that couldn't be particularly harmful if "discovered".

What about just write in on piece of paper and put in the drawer?
