So I want to make a post from this Android tablet to see how difficult it would be. Turns out not to be that easy. I figured most people use their mobile devices for social media. Even for posting to YouTube but as far as Steemit goes posting a blog with a mobile device such as a tablet or phone isn´t really working. Esteem is a great app for browsing Steemit but I gave up on trying to make this post there and just went full browser.
I do believe an app that can even use a separate site for uploading images and do all the front end work for the everyday user will be key. I know things are early in Steem/Steemit but I would love to here in anyone knows of anything in the works. Plus all of us nerds are going to need some company. Also if we want to attract more users mobile is a must because many people I know don`t use laptops or desktops much anymore for day to day use. Comment below but I must end here Android doesn't care much core me doing this on here 😃
True, I am a nerd lol, I use the desktop to post, but eSteem is a great app I use it for curating and commenting. It has some new features and I'm not patient enough to test them out yet. But it does look like it has the ability to submit pictures easier than the browser method. @good-karma would know better on how the app works as he is developing it.
I think esteem will be the ones to make mobile go steemit for sure. Looking towards future of steemit. Hopefully our input will help.
I know it will, plus the notifications on eSteem help when users are mentioned I like that part.
Not to mention eSteem is set for a desktop release soon so it will work from the mobile or the desktop the same soon.
Some of these features I didn't know of actually. Glad to see them putting in some great work. Esteem on pc could be an awesome idea get us out of the browser. I just pray they make a .deb file make Linux easy for the everyday man too. I love turning people into Linux and steemit.
Wish I could get the wife over to Linux as well.
That's exact reason eSteem exists! App is evolving and with each update there is improvements, so hopefully you experience with eSteem will get better 😊 bear with us, let us know what can be improved, what features you would like to see...
Great post. I post from my desktop, not my Android phone.
I always use desktop too. Just like to see it up the doors for others. In my area no one uses desktps anymore or hardly even laptops. So it's hard for me to turn people onto steemit sometimes.
Google chrome for android works pretty good. There is a couple of other apps still in the works. I use Epsilon Notes with a customised CSS to draft my posts. I have imgur app installed but I need to turn off notifications for is since it has sm kind of social network attached to it.
I want also a proper desktop app! Browsers are slow.
