RE: rand-O-whale ===>> VS. <<=== RANDO-m-WHALE -- DON'T MAKE THE SAME MISTAKE!!

In keeping with Steemit's transparency, you might as well name and shame. If there's a cunt out there trying to swindle the community, I think we ought to know who it is.

In regards to the negative impact this has had on your Steemit experience, I have something that may help. It wasn't too long ago that someone was posting about how they had lost $1000 + because they sent their funds to the wrong @bittrex account.

Some degenerate, greedy bastard(s) had created lots of accounts such as @bitrex, @bittrexx, @bitrexx etc, in order to steal any SBD or STEEM from unsuspecting users who put the wrong account name in.

This fucking disgusted me. BUT.... a little while ago I typed the name in wrong myself when sending some coin to bittrex, and this time it popped up with a big red notice saying "Be careful when spelling this users account name.. etc"

That was inspiring, and it shows that while there may be people on here trying their best to game a system that could be beneficial to us all, there are more of us on here to keep them in check and to build mechanisms to counter their siphoning strategies.

Don't let a few bad apples ruin the entire garden for you!

I kinda like the idea of exposing this person. Or do we just wait for 13 more people to find out the hard way?...and he'll keep collecting the occasional pair of Steem in the meantime. Get the pitchforks!

@meme.for.steem I did put it out there, it is in the screen image in the post. I just did not want to link his name in the post. The main thing is not to fall into his trap or make a similar mistake with any wallet address, Steem or bitcoin or otherwise. Thanks for stopping by.

birds of a feather flock together, nice reply, I resteemed this and don't do that often

Thanks @battleaxe Hope this helps the Good @randowhale but Opens everyones eyes to how a simple letter can cause you grief, and sometimes there will not be a good person on the other end of that mistake to help make it right.

I feel those who knowingly support scam artists are equally vile :)

thanks for that @son-of-satire As for me, I am fine, it really isn't about the money for me, but the bad experience. It has come nowhere near ruining my experience here, but I would hate to have it happen to the little minnows (newbies) where it would definitely hurt.

Plus it makes for a good learning lesson for us all. Thanks for commenting, much appreciated.

Good point! I agree, name and shame, the guy is a sheister and deserves to be exposed.

Cg

It was @noganoo. It almost always is with that type of account.
