Can you also please explain how posts will be selected for the trending page after the change to a single 7 day payout? Thank you

This is a bit more complex, i'm sure that if you have 2 & Longer payout period, there must be algorithm in place that most likely will sort Posts according to payout time window! Meaning that Posts that still can receive rewards will most appear here on Steemit Search. If you have many Posts that are still popular throughout the month, they will most likely dominate Steemit Search so less opportunity for upcoming Posts, a week is right for trending Posts
Not a official steemit Voice, however following discussion online. Let's assume a hacker gains access to your account. First thought would be to steal your funds however with SP & Savings accounts, it will take time to execute. It is very likely that Hackers will personally attack accounts, by Posting & Commenting. Once you gain back access to your account, at least you can re-edit any unwanted changes caused by a Security Breach or Personal Reason.
With third-party services like SteemConnet or Busy.org, your Steemit Account is more likely to get breach in the future
