TWO Can Play at This Game!

Poloniex has disabled wallet Deposits and Withdrawals going on 5 months now. They have discriminated against Steemians for long enough. STEEM Inc, it is time to take charge.

It is time to fight fire with fire

#1 I recommend that STEEM Inc. lock down Poloniex's STEEM wallet. Poloniex has $41 million dollars worth of STEEM.

#2 I recommend that 10,010 SP delegated to Poloniex be undelegated. Why in the hell does Poloniex need 10,010 SP delegated to them?

I want to hear back from all of you. What do you think. Should STEEM Inc. take action against Poloniex?

Please remember to Upvote, Resteem, and Follow. Thank you.

Well look at who delegated the 10,000 SP to Poloniex @misterdelegation

What is interesting is the date. End of April? What is going on there?

Ok... This whole thing is way more complicated than i thought.
How did he make such huge steem???

That account is the central account for all deposits and withdrawals of STEEM and SBD into their exchange. Instead of having individual STEEM/SBD wallets, the exchange creates their own version of accounting and internal wallet. The memo attached to the transfer allows the exchange keep track of who has what. When they disabled the wallets, that STEEM and SBD on the Poloniex account is the result of many people's deposits into the exchange.

Well stated!

And what is your goal for Steemit?

Btw thanks for following me. I hope you will be able to read my posts together with those from the other 20k accounts you follow. I mean how will you do that?

If that is the case I see no reason why steemit shouldn't reciprocate but after a dialogue approach though.

It would be important to handle that amount of STEEM with communications and negotiation first. I think at least, the delegation should be suspended. It does not help anything.

I can relate with your point of view. Thanks for the insight on this subject.

It sure does seem odd that they would be sitting there with all that cash and yet not care if it could even be used on their network. It strikes me as quite possible that there have been deals struck here way above our pay grade that we will never know anything about. Resteemed.

My understanding is that STEEM is from Steemit user accounts. People in the past have deposited STEEM with Poloniex to trade. That massive pot of STEEM came from Steemit users. I would imagine if everyone that has an outstanding deposit with that account had a say in the future of Poloniex account, I would suspect that the decision would be made quickly.

Hmmm...if that is the case, why haven't these Steemit account users been raising Holy Cain about it? (Or, maybe they have and I just haven't been around long enough to notice..?)

They have months ago. At least for them if they had STEEM or SBD stuck on the exchange, they could trade it for something else (although they may not have gotten a good exchange rate). Till this day, both STEEM and SBD are still trading. you just can't deposit or withdraw from the exchange.

..or from that account here, apparently...?

Yes, that account is where the STEEM and SBD reside. By disabling wallets on their end, they have effectively created an island of that currency that can be traded, but the STEEM and SBD can't enter or leave the island.

Well, that sure is weird and wrong. Thanks for all you do to bring light to this stuff, socky...

At least we deserve some explanation from them.

From STEEM Inc. or Poloniex?

Poloniex doesn't want to do business with STEEM.
I think we need an explanation from STEEM Inc.

I want to hear both sides. Why do you think poloniex doesn't want to do business with steem?

My theory is that Poloniex could be requiring a "maintenance fee". It is essentially extortion. They could very well be holding all the Poloniex (STEEM/SBD) wallets hostage in return for payment fro STEEM Inc. While most other currencies would just pay the fee, STEEM Inc. could be refusing to pay the fees.

Does ploniex vote anyone? Why does it need that much sp?
Well, it may need it but we don't know why. There are always two ways to look at things

I don't know why. Looks like the last transaction they performed was January 27, 2018. Since then, the account has been inactive. The wallet still accepts STEEM and SBD, but no outgoing transactions, votes, comments, etc.

Bugger, such a stagnant eater! 😁

First let's consider the fact that its legal to have that much SP, and secondly it was gotten legally, and thirdly what is it use for, fourthly is it for the better of others... @socky this is a very good observation you've made lovely cheer 📣
