Since my last post, which was my first one ever featuring a new Author, a lot of people have asked me if I could feature their work too.
I would love to feature EVERYONE but that's impossible, so now to inform all of you:
I have decided to post 1-2 articles from Minnow Authors weekly. These authors will be chosen from the "Hidden Gems" Articles - these are being posted in English, German and Russian.
- Hidden Gems English - @dragonslayer109
- Hidden Gems German - @knozaki2015
- Hidden Gems Russian - @serejandmyself
and hidden Gems in all other languages that might be created.
100% of the Steem Dollars earned on these posts will be going to the Author.
So again, here are your guidelines for good Steemit Posts, that might help you get chosen for the Hidden Gems:
- Original Content (obviously), about a unique topic / idea
- Catchy Title
- Good Introduction
- Many (but not too many) PICTURES or GIF's !
- Good / understandable language (I know this can be tough if English isn't your 1st language)
- Good formatting - be sure to use different font sizes, paragraphs, bold/italic, etc.
These guidelines were inspired by this post, that explains them even more in-depth
Now that I'm considered a "Dolphin" I want to help Minnows - because the Queen @Stellabelle herself has helped me when I was just getting started with Steemit.
She recognized me and supported me by writing a post about me, so now I want to give back to the awesome Steemit Community and do the same!

I would take any kind of posts, as long as they were featured in the hidden gems
What a fantastic idea! I'm going to watch this carefully so I can see how you do it and then do it, too when I get a bit stronger and more able to help minnows. I know LOTS of writers, and if I can help them get a bit of a boost, that would be a great feeling. Will you share a bit of the behind the scenes about how you're going to do this?
Well first I take the votes into consideration (number of votes, from minnows, not number of whales) with englisch + german thats no problem, and the russian posts I'd translate. that's work for me but I'd do it. I read through all the articles and judge the content, structure, visual appeal etc etc ... and in the end just choose what has impressed me most :)

So I first need to have @dragonslayer notice my article and then I need you to notice me from his post? Then I must write an even more amazing article for the rest of the world to see? That seems like a difficult process... especially for an un-noticed minnow. But, it's also definetly a nice reward while gaining some exposure if selected. It's great to have people like you helping out the little guys!
Well, I'm doing this as a selection process - of course, later I can maybe choose my own posts or find a different strategy, but for now I have decided to use this method and we'll see how it goes.

What if I don't like being manipulated with visual iconography?
Too often when I see pics in post it distracts me from what is being said.
Havin' gotten the glasses from Rowdy Roddy back in the eighties it won't be possible for me to participate in this ideal for the platform.
Using these methods to manipulate those susceptible to this form of mind control is a tactic I choose not to engage in, thanks.
So, if you are dead set on this rule keeping good content off steemit, then I guess you can just jump in a lake.

I do agree, currently there are so many users that are unseen and have hardly ever made a cent on steemit. The whales have so much power, but not much time to upvote everyone. That's why I, as part of the "middle class", try to support the minnows and take some of the burden off of the whale's shoulders!
And you are right I think the system will probably be more balanced in a few months time!
