Yeah, spent a fair amount when I was there, but well worth the money. It was a bit better back then the aussie$ was a lot stronger than the kiwi$ then, not like now. Cheers

Maybe one day it will be the same and we can buy Holdens and Fosters Lager dirt cheap!
Holden pulled out of Australia, and I think Fosters is owned by the Japanese. No cars manufactured here anymore mate, all gone to Thailand. Cheers
If Aussie car manufacturing is no more, I wonder if the Aus gov will open up Jap imports like in NZ - all our cars are five year old Jap imports so are cheaper than Aussie cars.
In fact Holdens are sort of status symbol cars here because they are all sold new and are rear wheel drive. Shame if they are no more. Fosters on the other hand I was kidding about - you can keep that :)
Never been a fan of Holden myself, more of a Ford fan, as for the fosters I wouldn't drink it even if you were shouting, LOL. I prefer James Boags instead, it's a great tassie drop. Cheers
Right I was forgetting the Aussie Ford vs Holden thing!
The NZ equivalent would be Toyota vs Nissan...
I had a Holden Torana once (many many years ago) and it was good for hooning - like this but painted in grey primer
Ha, grey primer is better than purple, IMHO. And for the Ford v Holden thing doesn't make much sense anymore, Neither are built here! Cheers
Well I picked that photo because purple is what I always wanted. I didn't end up with a purple Torana, but later I did get a purple car. I'm obsessed with purple, it's sort of my trade mark colour!
