RE: OFFICIAL Steemit FAQ - Rough Draft - I Need Your Input!

in #steemit8 years ago (edited)

Someone gave me feedback in a Steemit Chat group, so I'm copying and pasting it here to put all suggestions in one place:

the first thing i noticed, APR - what does that mean
i think the layman don´t know we should explain whats the meaning
the faqs should be so easy even a layman could explain what is meant
further on you say, the network countinually creates new steem.
How does the network creates new steem?
(Many software engineers are currently leveraging the open-source code to build their applications on Steem. There are more than sixty so far.). - nice Fact, but i think it isn´t nessecary for the faq
" It should only be held for short-term trading because you will be diluted 50% per year due to ever-increasing supply. " - Why we will be diluted 50% per year? Again as a layman i would like to know WHY
It is important to note, when you decide to cash out your Steem Power (Power Down), you will get paid equal payments of STEEM for the next 104 weeks, taking two years to cash out your Steem Power completely. - Here i would do an Calculation as a Example fot the better understanding

like: If you have 1000 Steem Power and you decide to cash ot it would look like this: 1000 / 104 = 9.61538
So you are getting 9.61538 Steem every 7 days for the next 104 weeks
I have a general question about our grp: shouldn´t we invite ned and dan to the grp, so they can look after what we are doing?
and comunicate if things are going not the way, they want to
What does the little number next to my name mean? - additionally i would tell them the Sclae goes from -80 to + 80
I just signed up, are there any steps I should take before I get started? - take this to the top of the Faq´s so everbody should read this as their first post
After you make a post, a 24-hour timer starts counting down. Every time you get upvotes, there is time added. - how much time is added?
yea it depends on the steem power, but how exactly?
are there any calculations?
Can you post unlimited comments and blog posts, or is it limited in some way? - you should add that if you Edit a Post it´s countet as a new post
