RE: How surpassinggoogle's "showing love" impacts negatively on the steem blockchain

in #steemit7 years ago

Good morning @littleboy,

Although I can't agree on who you're after, I will say that the comment left behind is in fact kind of long. My boy Terry a.k.a @surpassinggoogle is one of the kindest and most genuine users I have met here, and you are on the right track on going after plagiarists and abuse, but there are actual scammers running around doing far more damage than things happening here. I'm sure you are aware of this.

The delegation he receives is never used on himself for personal gain of every kind, and he is dedicated to spreading out the rewards. His bots do trail him, but he has to make that first initial vote, and he uses his power responsibly to make sure that people are getting rewarded what he feels is right.

I don't believe in rewarding plagiarism, and this is becoming a larger deal along with spam and abuse recently all over Steemit. Instead of investigating the integrity of a user's account for hours, he is replying every person that talks to him, giving feedback, and help to a larger number of users, strengthening the community.

There are actual bad people on Steemit and IMHO, lays appears to be up to some sketchy s@&$ I've been watching this account as of a couple days ago. A $30 post for tomatoes, with atrocious grammar and repetitive sentences that make my eyes bleed. They've also introduced a voting service for... ahem quality content.

I'm coming to you as a fellow Steemian, and the user who researched earthnation for two weeks when I say that your efforts and capabilities should be used on those that deserve it. I agree with Terry, and I see that you have a big heart, your most recent posts (and a majority of them in fact) are about discovering bugs, and abuse mitigation. You obviously care about Steemit.

With love,
