This feature actually exists today, usage is documented in timcliff's post. I'm hoping a good response here on this post will get a link on steemit.com so the feature has more visibility.
I think having it in a more prevalent / built-in part of the site though would be really good, since it would get it a lot more exposure than being tucked away in the FAQ.
