@insteadofmoney, now this tip is fun and it works. Tons of posts with 0 comments on new posts. Some of these dolphins are just as social as me. My greatest pleasure is commenting on a post and creating a dialogue. If you continue to do so a friendship will be created. Don't comment on a post for a day or two and they will hunt you down. I have dozens of quality friends on here like @whatsup and @steevc. You comment on my content and I click on your profile and read a few posts. This is a social network so get social.
