This is a message for all the people I still see using 100% power up payout option.
SBD IS CURRENTLY WORTH 10$, AND BY USING 100% POWER UP OPTION YOU ARE MISSING OUT ON MASSIVE PROFITS.
Let me show you on what I'm talking about on a quick example
So you have a 10$ post paying out, with 100% in Steem Power payout you will get :
- 10 x 0.25 = 2.5 ( that goes back to the curators) so you'll get 10 - 2.5 = 7.5$
- 7.5$ converted to Steem Power is 7.5 / 1.9 ~ 4 SP
So you earned 4 SP or 7.5$
But if you used the 50/50 payout you would get
7.5 / 2 = 3.75 $ / 1.9 = 1.97 SP
and 7.5 / 2 = 3.75 SBD
3.75 SBD x 10 = 37.5$$$$
Total
- 37.5 + 3.74 = 41.25$$
But by using the 50/50 option you will get 37.5$ and 1.97 SP instead of only 4 SP.

Yes SBD is a lot higher at the moment, I have changed to 50/50

The more SP you have the more you get from being a curator. Inversting in SP means you are wasting all the dollars you would normally get NOW by investing in a long term bigger profit. The only advice I can give is don't turn your STEEM dollars ot STEEM POWER to plain STEEM, unless you really need to convert it to BITCOINS.
What about selling them on the market?
3.75SBD are worth around 17.5STEEM.
Also, you can't sell STEEM POWER, it's locked to your account for at least 13 weeks.
I just found someone who takes them and sends their current value in USD to my Paypal. Easiest transition ever.
I know about the delay, you can still sell SP eventually as STEEM.
