Questions regarding steem

in #steemit7 years ago

Who can I contact at the Steemit organization with serious questions regarding the platform. Over the last several weeks I asked a number of Questions but did not get constructive answers out of the users of the platform. What is not helping is that steemers are more busy acquiring steem and do not show any action on a post when it is older than an hour. Posts are loosing their attention when time passes by.
I find this one of the weak points of Steemit by the way.

I sincerely hope to get a name to whom I can direct serious user questions.

Thank you for this post, I have been trying to figure out the upvote process and how to maximize my time reading articles. My biggest take away form the article and the comments is that I don't ever have to worry about my upvote causing someone to lose, right?

That is now my concern too . Yesterday I noticed a number of times that my upvoting caused a decrease in SBD to some peoples posts. As akrid is mentioning it was maybe a coincidence that the price of SBD dropped at the time I was making these upvotes.
I just have expressed my concerns and I will monitor this thoroughly during the next period of time. I will remain bringing this up if it happens again.
Thanks for your reply.

Thank you for your answer. What is this discord?
I will look it up and I hope it provides me with some answers!!

Hey. What questions do you need answered?

Questions regarding upvoting:

  • it sometimes occurres that my upvote is causing people to loose sbd's
  • How can I regulate my steeming power
  • amore structured way of managing my followers

Your upvotes should not be causing others to lose value. Sometimes it may seem that way if the value of SBD falls in between the refresh.
You may "power up" from steem to steem power. You also gain steem power as rewards. Check steemd.com/@rolf.bakker to see what % voting power you sit at. If it's too low it won't be worth much.
They are currently working aon a more structured way of managing tags and followers. I don't know the specifics, but it's in the works.

Thanks for your constructive reply.

Anytime. I'm always here to help.

I whish there was some kind of helpdesk where I can post these questions.

That would be nice, unfortunately there is not. We have some great people who are willing to answer questions and help on steemit.chat and on discord servers. Feel free to stop in :)

You gotta write all the time man. Its takes effort. Keep writing and you will build a following if your content is good.

That is not an answer I was hoping for. I am writing but that is not the point.

No one likes the answer when it involves your own work, but it is kinda the point. If you build an audience and following around your niche, yes, the first few hours, just like any social media are the most important. But not always. I have had posts spark up days later. Depends whos eyes you happen to catch. Keep up the work
