thanks for sharing your story. i am the person who would not really check legitimacy of a website much and have no idea how dangerous it can be when it comes to steemit
These scammers never let up. I’m super paranoid about all the links I click on. I’m still shaky about SteemConnect! Lol. Thanks for the post and the heads up!
as long as money exists, scams will continue to abound. Now the experts say that that AI could mimic writing styles and habits of millions of users to launch devastating scams (dailymail.uk)
even the daylight saving time is a scam, see my latest blog
Thanks for the heads-up @roksivante. Will be triple checking the address field going forward.
hello friend @badmusgreene, a little mistake on the name of steemit above, name him @rok-sivante, not @roksivante.
Thanks for pointing that out @pojan .much appreciated.
yes it's true @pojan
Thank you my brother .. for his information. This is just what I can about it and before that I thought it was part of steemit
thanks @rok-sivante, I just know about this, you have given a lot of things to us all, i will learn more what is steemil.com.
It’s a scam. Avoid it like the plague. Nothing more to learn.
thanks for sharing @rok-sivante,
Good work @spaminator has done the best, so no one else is abusing comments or posts. I like the way you work, I think nice to meet you brother @rok-sivante
I knew of this scam already because @simplymike got scammed out of his password, lost his account, the guy used his account to spread the phish around and as a result people heavilly flagged him and he lost his rep as well.
Eventually he got his account back, but man imagine that on your account.
Thanks for this piece of information, I guess desperate people can go any length just to survive. Why would someone wanna steal another's Account, I guess they would withdraw the hard earned btc and even might power down. Damn!!! I don't wanna imagine the outcome.
Folks, please let's be cautious. Please double check, scammers are real.
$$$
Then what happen to hardwork and perseverance. There are better ways of earning $$$ which doesn't include scamming.
I'm thinking of steemit_police, would really be nice to track them down 😎😎.
thanks for suggestions and feedback @rok-sivante.
an input and information that is very useful for all social media users, especially Steemit.
many are fooled into fake accounts over certain people so that we are deceived.
maybe with this brother's post makes us more cautious again and not easy to believe.
once again thank you very much for this information.
greetings from me @kadafi.
excellent and accurate information friend @rok-sivante to be aware of these bad sites that do not act with good intentions ...!
Thanks for the timely warning and information about scammmers.....
Recently I read about a story of how someone was doped of 40 steem. How it happened is really still a misery to me....
I am sure this piece information will really be of help to us...
Thanks
There is always the legal way of earning in this platform. Scamming others for their account to have the quick cash is really bad especially these members must have put in lots of effort to build their reputation and many other areas. We need to build steemit and not let this affect its reputation so that it can last for many years to come! Upvoted and have been following you!
Incredible, so my motivation for me to always be careful not to take someone else, thank you very much @ rok-sivante you always remember us with your meaningful post.
People are just too lazy, they dont want to work but want to kill the dreams of those who put in their best. How can you steal peoples reward, this is sin and sooner or later you shall pay for it. Thank @rok-sivante for fishing out this
thank you sir, initially i did not know about this. I just learned after reading your post. thank you very much for the guidance. I wish the spaminator team could continue detecting this.
Thanks @rok-sivante...
Current scenarion indicates to be vigilante while login into steemit as the hackers has made mayhem over hacking on steemit. Many accou ts were hacked...good time to switch on to busy and esteem....the hackers currently focusses on steemit not on other website..
Nice
It seems that once the scammer has your login they actually use your account to spam on... Unfortunately i know at least one victim of this scam as of today :(
Thank you for sharing this, resteemed.
Thank you for this information. Technology can be used for both purpose - good and bad.
It's a scam, things to note.
thank you for meeting you here.
Thank you sir already post this article, this is a warning to all steemian, especially steemans who have a lot of contents of the wallet so commemorate them not to be careless by the fraudsters
@rok-sivante this kind of malpractice hurts a legitimate user because he works day and night to write informative content and grow on steem but seeing all this scam in ico and all this sites hurts because crypto is made to change the views of how people see this world
Some people always want to reap where they did not sow, imagine wanting to scam someone. Some people are just too negative in their dealings. Thanks @rok-sivante for this life saving information, it will surely save a whole lot of people the agony of loosing their accounts to this never do well people called scammers. Every steemian should see this post and very much at alert.
This is an admitted fact that honesty and cheating go side by side in the world and at the end honesty always wins. Such sort of things have happened with me too usually on social media and yes scam happend with me on #steemit
Massive Respect for the wonderful information to make the folks aware of this dangerous thing <3
Thank you for the warning. I came accross this one https://mspsteem.com is it legit? Came on a comment with a link to a post, i did not log in and changed the url to steemit instead to access the post.
It seems that the things are going crazy lately..to many new methods of scam appearing day by day..thanks for letting us know
Some folks just love to reap where they have not sown. We should never get tired of exposing and bringing them to justice. Thank you for bringing this to our attention.
Any entity telling me to click on a link is a no-no to me. The only exception being to confirm my registration at a website.
Thanks, for the PSA, @rok-sivante (and for all your support). Hope to become more vigilant! 😱
Stay safe, man, online & off ✌🏼
Very nice my friend ...
Very useful information for all of us ...
I also wrote about this before and there is also another one that leads you to steewit instead of steemit.
Some of them had their funds transferred out already.
Here's a post I saw and resteem:
https://steemit.com/phishing/@guiltyparties/ilovewww-phishing-attack-on-steem
Fortunately, you weren’t tricked. I was :0(
Thanks to a lot of people, I got my account and reputation score back. The reputation score had gone to -1, because the hackers used my account to send out the phising message to 30 other people, and Steemcleaners had flagged all those messages to make them harmless (as @spiritualmax already commented).
After reading your post, there’s something that keeps playing in my head...
When you state:
Are you referring to the real scammer? Or to someone who was as unfortunate (or as stupid) as me to get his or her account hacked, after which the hackers used the account to send out their messages?
Yeah, I had not updated the post since learning that the account was hacked - so that statement doesn’t make full proper sense in context.
I just hoped that you actually meant they had caught the scammer. From what I’ve heard, they still haven’t, so people are still at risk...
How are you? Are you fine? Do you busy brother @rok-sivante
Ok, yes.
Correct English would be, “are you busy?”
I'm sorry brother @rok-sivante little wrong in writing "Do you busy" I mean is "are you busy". Understandably I still learn a little English because I am native Indonesian citizen, Thank you brother I like to communicate.
Hey man! thanks for spreading the word! It's been a helluva day due to my account being hacked etc!
I wan't to thank you for your upvote on my post! It's really appreciated.
The URL that got me was STEEWIT.com - DO NOT ENTER! it is basically a mirror of our beloved platform STEEMIT - I was rushing around yesterday getting ready to perform for MSP waves radio, quickly logged in to my account and later (2 hours) realised I couldn't login....my master pasword had been changed, SBD taken and SP was in power down mode! I was like WHAAAAAT - so I quickly went into the account recovery section - which is the 3 lines next to your avatar and started the process! I was panicking like hell because the hacker (@good-kama) was posting comments all over steemit with the phishing link attached, from my @mrbloom account!
My good friend @meno kindly created my new @darrenclaxton account and my @helpie family have gifted me some steem to get going again, which I will now be trying to build back up to promote my music. If you look at my @mrbloom account you'll see that it was going great, lot's of music fans and my rep had gone from 25 to 56 in 50 days! now it's back to -1
Thanks for reading my story and, stay vigilant people!
Have a great week whatever you're doing.
Thanks
Darren
My Post About Being Hacked
This is really sad, so sorry about you loosing your account to scammers. I really feel your pains but I can see you are doing good with this new account, I do like the courage you displayed by starting up again, that's really motivating. Remain positive friend and steem on.
This is not new, a few days ago I also noticed some links with a fake steemit called steewit.com ... I even made a post about that. The scammers are desperate for our passwords we need to be careful
Good post my friend, this is very helpful. I really hope can read the best posts you every day.
that was useful information, thank @rok-sivante
Thank you for the heads up on this @rok-sivante .. sadly as the platform grows the sharks will circle in ever-increasing numbers :( it pays to be vigilant and it pays to watch each other's backs.
@steemcleaners and @spaminator are the best, they are give motivation to me for don't plagiarsm and abuse in Steemit platform. And Special thanks to brother @rok-sivante
I heard of this scam a few days ago. Qustodian claims to have fallen for this scam.
Nice post @rok-sivante. Good job.
Nice post.I respect you very much because you contribute to steemit.I will do activities like you.I would like to extend the steemit.@rok-sivante
Please STOP the spam comments.
This is the THIRD time I’ve seen this exact same comment.
Seriously. If you can’t comment anything original, don’t bother at all. Duplicating the exact same comment is just lame and, really, falls into the SPAM category.
