Want Steem Power? Relax, you'll be fine.

... as long as you keep working seriously.

Endurance is needed.

I've read a lot about how Steem may increase its value due to a greater demand. A way to do that is to attract more people to Steemit.

By the way... Are you bringing friends to Steemit? I am!

This brings us to Steem Power.

If you want Steem Power you can buy it or earn it by posting and curating. Putting the buying option aside, let me focus on the authors and curators rewards.

Premises:

  1. If I post and curate well, I get Steem Power.
  2. The same is true for my followers. They also become more powerful because they post and curate frequently.

Result:
We are growing together.

Opinion:
This can take time but has a great potential.

Example/Scenario:

  • Currently I have 129 followers. For simplification purposes imagine that I won't get any more followers and that we all have 1000 SP. Let's say 50 of my followers curate my posts frequently and always upvote at 100%.
So I have 50 people with 1000 SP upvoting my posts but we are all slowly getting more SP.

  • In time, I'll have 50 people with 2000 SP upvoting my contents.

  • We keep posting and curating each other and one day we'll all have 3000 SP.

  • 4000 SP

  • 5000 SP
    The snowball gains momentum

  • We go on with our lives and one day we all have 10000 SP. Way better that when we were trying to help each other but upvoting with 1000 SP wasn't much of a help.

  • Experience helps. By then, I'll write and curate better. Guess what? My loyal 50 followers will also be better.
One day I'll wake up and realize I belong to a group of 51 people with 50 000 SP each, that reward each other contents.

Just

1. Write

2. Curate

3. Build your network

Unless you are one of those users repeatedly complaining about how Steemit isn't that great because you are not being rewarded as you think you should. In that case, don't bother writing or curating. You just have to build a better platform. We'll be here to congratulate you.

Hi, I'm pretty much new on the site, I haven't even written my introduction post (yeah, I know... Shame on me), but certainly it's as I can see, everything here is about WRITE, CURATE and BUILD A NETWORK... Hopefully it's just about time... Greetings from Mexico.

Building a community is key. People need a reason to keep coming back, especially in the early days when they are unlikely to earn much. It took me a while to make anything

me too. I think my first 15 or 16 post I earned zero. I was learning and making errors as fast as I could. Than I started to get better. I'm glad I didn't give up

It's 100% true that you need to enter a community and engage those around you to support each other.
If you don't post and vote (frequently), you can't really complain that your SP is not growing.
@rmach: Followed.

I am @anduweb and i've moved to this new, shorter handle. I'll keep this signature at the bottom of my comments for a couple months.

If people are artists or maybe have items they would normally have thrown on eBay or Craigslist, can instead list them on OpenBazaar and get paid out in Steem using Shapeshift https://steemit.com/steemit/@cryplectibles/openbazaar-takes-steem-list-your-art-or-garage-sale-items-now .

Nice alternative. Thanks

You are welcome! I am hoping to see more Steem users on the OB network selling their wares. I had just bought this little guy using Steem testing it out a couple of weeks ago and got yesterday

https://steemit.com/steem/@cryplectibles/this-elephant-sculpture-art-was-bought-with-steem

I hope to support more artists this way and hope the artists themselves start seeing these alternative ways to share their art. I know so many people who run tents at local markets or go to festivals, when they can do that still on top of having a full shop running and getting paid in crypto directly from people around the world.

Yes indeed...

I'm following you right now.
Let's write, curate, and grow together!
I, too, believe in the potential of Steem.

Right mindset :)

Good post, I upvoted and am following. I am still new to this community but am getting the hang of it.

: ) keep pushing forward
