Everyone wants to have a share of the pie. Whales got it, dolphins are getting there and minnows really want it. So how can you get that piece of the pie you deserve? Yes I said deserve because you have to work for it, like every whale out there. It takes time and opportunity to get your rewards. Every whale is here for over a year and spend time (& money) to get there so, so should you. But how do you get it? Let’s explore the ways to get it!
The biggest way to get bigger rewards is Investing in Steem Power!
Yes, investing in Steem Power is the way and is the most important thing to do to be relevant in this community. On the platform, Steem Power gives you the power to reward good content and in the process can reward yourself once in a while. Honestly, don’t do it every time because that’s just selfish and not worth it. When you upvote content of others you get Curation Rewards that gives you Steem Power as well. So focus on that!
Besides that, when you get Steem Power, you invest in Steemit itself and when the price of Steem grows, your Steem Power grows accordingly! So power up!
There are 2 ways of powering up though. First is to invest your own money into it. This is the fast way. But when you create blogposts you can also set your earnings to 100% Steem Power. You can do this too to get more power.
Engage in the platform
Everyone has it’s own thing. Some like to create content, other like to comment and then there is a group that likes curation. There are a lot of ways to engage in the platform and earn rewards. What is most important is to post good content and comments. When you comment on others, craft a well thought out response to the post and make sure you've read it. There are a lot of people that just comment for the sake of commenting. Just don’t do that. You will get the attention of a whale or dolphin at some point when you have good content and comments. It just takes time. Steemit is not for a quick buck, it takes work to build up your reputation and followers. Engaging with others helps a lot!
Build Relationships on Steemit
So I talked about engaging and building relation ships is part of it. Building relationships is good for the long term. Engage with other minnows and talk to them. You will grow together and in the end you will up vote each other and gain big rewards. Be respectful to everyone and when you are in heavy discussions take their point of view in mind as well! When you see fellow bloggers spam, don’t reply on them and just focus on the great people we have here! You can build your relation ships on the discord channel of minnow support and the steemit chat.

For a newbie like me this kind of information is very important. Thank you very much!
The noobs gotta help each other my friend - Trust me if I had $5,000 to buy a shit ton of SP and instantly get large rewards and reward largely - Id do it - I'm trying to purchase SP in increments when I can afford to and have been considering doing the 100% Power up on rewards - I just feel like I'm ions away from "getting there" with a whopping 19+ SP and look at most others wallets and see 1500 or 15000. Keep on Steemin' and help a noob and a noob will help you - karma and laws of the universe prevail always
