is the Planet Earth really only 12,000 years old?

many Bible Scholars argue that the Earth is only 12,000 years old, and that it was made in 7 days,
by a supreme being called God everything was fine and dandy
but then came the Dinosaurs discovery , which actually date Dynos to Millions of years
back then in the Bible days people believed blindlessly as dinosaur remains where still not discovered

Humans are as old as dinosaurs
if you have been following Science documentaries, you may know that human footprints have been found beside Dinosaur footprints, dating millions of years old, actually if you go to youtube and you make a search of date of man on earth, scientist have proven, that man has been on earth for millions of years , the first study dated man on earth to 3 million years old, further studies dated man upto to 55million years on earth, its insame, so i ask, where does the Science of Bible scholars come from, to say that the earth is relativelly new?, after all, Catolic Priests say that they are the representatives of God, and are supposed to ¨know it all¨, why the absurdity.?
Did the Noah s ark really save humanity and all life on earth with a Boat full of animals and insects?,
how did they catch all insects known to man, all serpents, all mammals, recollected all plant forms, and put them on a boat? if they did was the Boat big enough to collect all plants known to man, Banana trees, Mango trees, tomato trees i mean cmon, a talking snake on a forbidden garden?
am i missing something, can a christian give me a real explanation on this conflicting information?
are the Antropologist wrong? or, is the Bible filled with fairy tales and fables?
should the word of God the bible be taken only superficially? or as the true word of God i ask!
are you going to tell us that the bible stories where created in parables and not to be taken as word?
if so, then how are we to know which verses should be taken as parables and which verses to be taken literally?
