It’s really crap that they didn’t give any warning of this. Inexcusable in fact.
I’ve often wondered why they don’t compress images on steem... as a mainly WordPress blogger uncompressed images are the no 1 thing that slow down page loading and hurt yr SEO and not to mention storage.
This was always coming but not to communicate it or give any warning just shows how much disregard Steeminc have for us.
This is a real wake up call about ownership rights as well I guess.
Get a WP.org blog, self host it, then you actually defo own yr own content, And no one can alter it, unlike anything you/ we post on steem!
You can always integrate with steempress.
Nothing like a crisis to make you think through these annoying issues of content ownership and control is there?! I need to go puzzle over this too.
Although it sounds from the comments that it’s literally just steemit not busy etc.
