RE: downvoting from anyone that reduces payout because they think the post isn't deserving is wrong

You as an individual or specialized groups won't be able to control quality of content from my experience that is up to the market.

People who have a lot of money invested in this site should be thinking longterm instead micromanaging members and content. There are a lot of very smart people involved in building this site, but they may not be smart in managing people.

It is difficult to market something that says it's decentralized social media site that content creators can earn money through interaction. When in reality the only thing on this site that is decentralized is the blockchain. The social site built on top of the blackchain is quickly becoming totalitarian in its nature.

Regarding marketing, this only addresses attracting new users, but does not addresses keeping the new users and older more seasoned users that are great content producers, curators, and cheerleaders.

For the lurkers...Totalitarianism is a political system in which the state recognizes no limits to its authority and strives to regulate every aspect of public and private life wherever feasible. Wiki

Edit, one more definition, I love being on the same page.

Decentralization is the process of redistributing or dispersing functions, powers, people or things away from a central location or authority.

2nd edit...another thought, the only way I've seen that creates deep and wide wealth distribution that everyone benifits from in a decentralized way is growing a large middle class. The fun part will be figuring out how to grow healthy robust dolphin pods!

3rd edit because we are 6 deep in comments

decentralize, decentralized: 1. transfer (authority) from central to local government. 2.
to undergo decentralization
