The only stupid risk, is the one you don't take!

We live in an age where we look around and damn near every idea has already been thought. Pyramid schemes, affiliate programs, day trading, social media advertising. You hear all these stories about people making it big but how come you can't?

Marketing has flooded social media but in reality how many can do this while making actual coin? How can one simply make money just by posting things on a web site? Further more not just make money but make it big?!

I'm relatively savvy when it comes to cryptocurrency, with experience buying and selling the most volatile currency(bitcoin), and even mining! At one point I had 28 computers running multiple ATI Radeons (to the extent of a killer power bill) and was making a decent coin... In the beginning.....

Then the bitcoin mining difficulty soared and even with my number crunching power being high in the Gh/s the return was almost nil in comparison to the costs. So I dismantled and sold all of that off in hopes of recooping some of the thousands I spent on it.

Times were tough and I finally decided it was time to go back to my normal job... DAMN IT( steel framing/Drywall).

While not the most intellectually stimulating, my job does provide me with some sort of satisfaction come end of day. Seeing an empty commercial development with just 4 walls and a bunch of cement in the morning and by days end, it's beginning to look like a place of business. But not after many hours of strenuous labor.

There has to be an easier way to earn a living. There HAS TO BE!

When all is said and done it is visually pleasing to see your work take shape, but in all honesty, at the end of the day im sore, tired, spent. All those things I strive to do whether that be house work, chores, my hobby... as awesome as they sound, after a day of working your ass off, it's not that awesome anymore.

Now I'm on the search for something new. Something that can be that stupid light at the end of this terrible life long tunnel that everyone speaks of. Think I sound bitter? a little bit... But I haven't given up hope just yet. Somewhere out there is an opportunity so great that I can succeed and do away with this life of manual labor to no end. Somewhere I can make a difference as well as make a living.

This is where Steem comes in. When i first heard about it I thought, "Oh great, another cryptocurrency that will start out easy and seem like the new wave but will ultimately be too volatile and difficult to acquire in a matter of time.

But wait.... you mean it doesn't fluctuate between $8.00 and 7 billion in one day?! You don't need thousands of dollars worth of computers, high end gpu's and cooling equipment... or a power bill that is equal to none other than the neighborhood grow op?

NeatO!!!

Well at first it sounded like every other "Make money via social media" scam that is circulating through the book of faces and that bird tweeting page and what not. I realized very quickly that it is not.

Instead what I found was a rock solid platform and the limitless potential this wonderful idea has to bring to the table. In essence this is the game changer the internet and computing has needed for years. This IS the FUTURE!

While jo shmoe is writing a post on facebook hoping he gets likes so that people start watching his youtube channel so that google will one day send him his beloved "views cheque" that will probably never happen. I (and hopefully all of my friends) can be doing that exact same thing but making a buck.

It's time to throw all other social media to the wind and embrace this new platform that will surely rule the internet. It's time to be the change. It's time to recognize the earning potential of the internet and Steemit and take hold!

I'm brand new but very certain this will be a long term relationship that might not leave me with a lot of bills, no house and a hefty child support payment!

The truest words I've heard in life are "The only bad risk is the one you don't take" Now aside from diving head first off the grand canyon without a parachute, lanyard or one of those flying squirrel suits, I truly believe this statement.
Now lets take the common risk away that you encounter when starting a business or just plain trying to make money, and you have yourself a fail safe means of earning potential i.e. steemit.

Now in the words of sir Marky mark from the movie "The other guys": "I'm like a peacock captain you gotta let me spread my wings and fly!"

I may be like a peacock and I may never fly but I intend to be entertaining while I try!
