The Belgian Tax Office is in search of crypto investors!

Crypto money investors have taken interest in the Belgian tax authorities. Various investigations have been initiated for Belgian citizens' cases of currency trading. Everyone who speculates on the crypto market is expected to pay 33% of the profits of crypto investors, despite the fact that Bitcoin and the like are not regulated or enforced in the country.

Three cases under investigation
The Special Tax Inspectorate (STI) examines at least three different cryptographic investment cases. The fourth file was closed and evaluated as "out of court". According to local press reports, the investigation began after the Belgian authorities had been reported by their overseas colleagues.

According to De Standaard and Het Nieuwsblad, the Belgian tax authorities are more interested in the Belgian investing in crypto money. According to STI at the end of last year, anyone who trades in the crypto money market has to pay 33% taxes and declare them in the "other income" section of the tax return.
