How To Convert Steem Dollars in US Dollars, Euro or GBP

in #steemit8 years ago

I figured this out yesterday. It's really easy to turn your Steemit cash into dollars, euros and pounds.

STEP 1 - GO TO BLOCKTRADES.US

Go to this site: http://blocktrades.us and select "Steem Dollars" to "Bitcoin".
Enter the number of SBD you want to transfer, and you will be shown how many Bitcoins you will get.
Enter your Bitcoin address and click "Get Deposit Address".
Copy that address with CTRL+C (or CMD+C on a Mac.)

STEP 2 - TRANSFER YOUR STEEMIT DOLLARS

Go into your Steemit wallet and search for Steam Dollars. Click on your amount and select "Transfer".
Where it says "TO" enter "blocktrades" without quotes.
Where it says "Memo" enter the secret string of characters that make your transaction findable.
Click on "Transfer" and your funds will be moved on your favorite Bitcoin address (like Coinbase, for example)

STEP 3 - LOAD BITCOIN ON YOUR CREDIT CARD

Sites like https://cryptopay.me/join/0b54c3aa allow you to buy a $2.50/€2.50/£2.50 prepaid credit card to use online, or a real plastic card to use also offline. When you have that card, it will be easy for you to move Bitcoins there.
You simply transfer your amount to the internal Bitcoin address of Cryptopay, then you move them to the card clicking "Load Card" and... boom! Your bitcoins are now turned into dollars!

It's all very easy and you can do it in just a few minutes. So we can say Steemit pays also in your favorite currency!

This is and old post, I wonder if you can still get one of those cards you mentioned here?

Downvoted because this is the second time you post the same text.

Yes I'm sorry but I didn't found a way to delete the first article where I misspelled the tag. Thanks.

You should be able to edit a post until the first payout. When the payout has occurred, you can't edit it anymore.

I'm not sure but I don't think there is a way to delete anything from Steemit.com (at least it's impossible to delete anything from Steem blockchain – it's a blockchain, after all).

Usually it's not a good idea to post same thing many times. Other people might think that you are just trying to fish more upvotes by continuous posting.

Your explanation seems plausible so I removed my downvote.

Thank you, it will never happen anymore. You have my word.

Congratulations @puck82! You have received a personal award!
