Commenting on your followers posts is very important & how you will make friends here as a plankton. votes are not worth so much if your voting power bar is not charged although every vote is appreciated.
About 90% of what I do is comment only 10% blogging & this works for me because I find it difficult to think of something to blog about whereas with a comment I only need to find an interesting post & I have the prompt right there.
Nearly everything I comment on is on my feed so the people being commented on are following me too this gives me the chance to impress them with the comment & makes them more likely to visit my own blog.
