Brazil has done an amazing job this summer hosting the Olympic Games, but just a few months earlier, there was a story that did not get the attention it deserved. We need greater digital privacy to protect our most precious moments and private pictures. This was a lesson that the beautiful Brazilian Military Police Officer Julia Liers learned first hand.
She was part of the team that apprehended the leader of one of the most notorious gangs in Brazil. This left the lieutenants of the organization looking for revenge against authorities and plot they did.
What they decided to do was to hack her phone and look for the most revealing pictures they can find. Clearly this wasn't such a difficult task and once accomplished these pictures hit the internet where they will now haunt her forever and have probably ruined her career. For convenience, and the fact that readers know how to use Google, we are linking the uncensored photo's of the lovely Ms. Julia Liers below, followed by some important thoughts on the issue at hand:
The problem that we face today is one of corporations not caring enough about the consumer. We need the ability to save our private moments & documents and feel confident in that security. People should not be exploited so easily for personal gain, ruining carriers along the way. This innocent young woman should be able to peacefully sleep at night trusting the advanced technology around her.
We would also like to thank Steemit and this platform for allowing us to post freely about these important issues. Anyway she shouldn't feel ashamed at all and no-one should point the finger at her, it's just human nature!
